Caring Matters Now is very excited to announce the
launch of our much-anticipated photographic book
‘HOW DO YOU C ME NOW?’
This stunning book celebrates the beauty and lives of all those affected by CMN and encourages the world to embrace visible differences.
Featured within this beautifully presented hardback are 30 striking portraits of inspiring children and adults affected by CMN from around the world; representing 13 countries on 5 continents.
In 2019, Caring Matters Now partnered with world-renowned photographer Brock Elbank to produce a photographic portrait series entitled ‘HOW DO YOU C ME NOW?’. The aim was three-fold: to raise global awareness of CMN; to deliver a wider message of “Love the skin you are in!” and to challenge negative perceptions of visible differences.
The series was exhibited at a gallery in London’s famous Oxo Tower in March 2019. The exhibition gave visitors time and space to view the portraits and consider the beauty in visible differences.
There was an overwhelming response from the general public, with over 8,500 people visiting the gallery during the 10-day exhibition. The show featured on major UK television and radio news outlets, and on news channels across the world.
Alongside the portraits, the ‘HOW DO YOU C ME NOW?’ book features personal stories of those photographed as well as coping strategies which aim to improve confidence and self-esteem for anyone living with a visible difference.
‘HOW DO YOU C ME NOW?’ is a beautiful coffee table book for at home and can also be used as an inspiring resource in schools or workplaces. We hope the images and message will encourage people of all ages to embrace their uniqueness and stimulate positive discussion about visible differences.
The release date for the ‘HOW DO YOU C ME NOW?’ book is Friday 25th September. We expect the books to sell out fast, so be sure to set a reminder on your phone to purchase your copy on the release date.
The price of the book is £30.00. All details can be found here.
